Professional Bio
edit professional bioI love music and photography and used these arts as a major way to supplement the Georgia social studies curriculum. For example, my students loved Maori rap from New Zealand and used it to compare and contrast politics, culture, and society through the eyes of American and Oceanic rap.
About Me
edit about meHello! I became a teacher after working as an investment banker in New York and a few odd jobs thereafter. I loved my sixth-graders and taught them social studies through the lenses of political, civil and cultural rights. I went on to conduct research for a civil rights education non-profit, and now direct research and instruction efforts with Alex and everyone else here at BetterLesson. I hope you enjoy browsing through the curriculum I developed while teaching social studies in the Atlanta Public School system.
